If I could delete my comment I would but since I can’t I want to stress the fact that i feel completely opposite about everything I wrote in the above review. Unless you want to experience the Twilight Zone I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. The only constant in this place is they consistantly run out of multiple items on the menu and replace them with recipes made from whatever they have to work…. This could be good for people that like surprises, but even then I wouldn’t suggest it.

Love twenty-four hour breakfast, and it’s great to have it with beer. Service and food were good. Too bad others have had different experiences. No complaints from me.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Went for breakfast on Sat. April 17th. Sat ourselves down like everyone else all gauwking looking for the servers who seemed to be hiding in the kitchen. No reception, no menus, no silverware, no syrup. Oh perhaps the order here is important, the food finally came to the table and was left while we sat with no silverware. Our server had come to work late and the other two were overloaded, but operated in a hit /miss manner. The eggs over easy were rubber and overcooked, and my scrambled eggs were acturally fried eggs chopped up and cooked to become scrambled. Bacon was good, coffee was just Ok. We watched 2-3 other customer’s get up and go to the kitchen themselves to get assistance. Clean it was not. Only the ladie’s room was functioning. It was cute but who puts white tile foor in a restaurant bathroom, no wonder you can see the dirty footprints. Have no plans to go here again. 50/50 chance to pick a good breakfast place. Next time I will go to the Main Street Deli, heard their hamburgers are terrific

I don’t suspect that the Hash House will be around long if it continues their service at the level we experienced. Ordered off the menu, poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, pretty standard. The poached eggs seemed to be microwaved, incredibly overcooked, the hollandaise sauce was made with red peppers. seriously? this was not pointed out on the menu. Seems like someone tried to get creative and failed miserably. If it is the middle of the night and you are drunk, maybe this would be a good restaurant for you. For me? Sunday morning… and dry, miserable, food.

On the plus side, the french toast was pretty good, and the server was very nice.

Four of us went to Hash House for breakfast and have mixed opinions about our experience. The food was decent, I was just a little disappointed they were out of milk and orange juice. There only options for drinks was soda, sweet tea, coffee, and beer, not the best choices for breakfast. The restaraunt was clean and very nice, good music, and friendly servers. I just wouldn’t go there if you are looking for a quick meal. We arrived at the Hash House at about 9:15am and there were only about three or four tables, yet we didn’t get our food until 10:15am. Overall I am glad we went there, it seems like an all right place downtown, hopefully next time they will have more drinks available and a faster cook.

Not just another restaurant but a comfortable, affordable place to get delicious food. The fact that it’s 24 hours makes it that much cooler. I love that I don’t have to settle for McDonalds or Sheetz after midnight but instead can get what I actually want. Just what Lynchburg needed!

Absolutely wonderful! About $5-8 a person, plus drinks and tip. Casual, comfortable atmosphere and delicious food. A great place to hang out any time of day or night.
