Loading ...Ben Shrader, a Bedford County surveyor, will be speaking on his book, Descendants of Roderick Higginbotham of Taylor’s Mountain, Bedford County, Virginia. This interesting genealogy of the Higginbotham family began on a surveying job. Shrader needed to know who owned the property, and became so involved in the research of the descendants in order to establish ownership of the land, that he decided to write a book. All are invited to hear the story of this family and their life on Taylor’s Mountain. He will have copies of his book to sell.
